Strong Relationships, Strong Schools: Practical Strategies for Family Engagement
Pre-Conference
Strong relationships are at the heart of strong schools, and every role in a school system contributes to building them. This session provides practical, field research-based strategies for strengthening school-family partnerships and increasing meaningful family engagement across programs, campuses, and communities. Created to add value to any school profession, this workshop invites participants to explore the impact of authentic relationships on student success, identify common barriers to engagement, and learn how to create welcoming systems, design engaging programming, and align communication strategies that build trust with diverse families. Through real-world examples and interactive activities, attendees will gain clear, practical strategies to move beyond outreach and toward coordinated, sustainable partnerships that support improved student outcomes and stronger program implementation.
